Chief Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Process expense reports and assist with financial tracking of local sub-contractors and fixed price contracts as needed
- Handle vendors’ and suppliers’ accounts including invoices, general ledger maintenance, journal entries and account reconciliation
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Prepare tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports for direct and indirect tax filings
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Take charge of the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania regulating accounting, taxes, companies' activities
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Fluency in English
- Strong 2+ years of professional experience in the field of accounting
- Detail orientation and thoroughness
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
