AML Specialist (Financial Institutions and Partners Team)

We are seeking an AML Specialist to join our KYC Division within the AML/CTF department. In this role, you will conduct thorough due diligence of financial institutions, our correspondent relationships and partners to ensure compliance with the highest regulatory standards. The KYC Division significantly contributes to the overall success of our business by allowing access to financial services for people and corporations that are left outside the legacy banking systems. Since we are aiming to bridge the gap between traditional financial services and cutting-edge solutions, financial crime prevention is one of the main axes we are building our organization around. As a result, we promote continuous internal and external learning, as well as in-depth communication with various AML solutions vendors and government agencies. AML specialist daily duties involve onboarding and reviewing business relationships, performing customer and enhanced due diligence, analysing documentation, identifying beneficial owners, assessing corporate structures, evaluating AML/CTF frameworks and providing risk recommendations.

You should find it interesting to

  • Take ownership of the financial institutions onboarding and ongoing due diligence (ODD) process
  • Take ownership of partners (“white label” solutions) onboarding and ODD process
  • Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) (collect documents, look for external information) and prepare due diligence reports related to your findings
  • Review registries, business databases and documentation provided by the FI client (including operating various third-party and in-house tools for background checks) and undertake research, document checks, and financial crime risk assessment via internal and external sources
  • Evaluate and assess the AML risks associated with financial institutions and partners, identifying areas of concern and recommending risk mitigation measures
  • Stay up to date with evolving AML laws and regulations, and ensure the company's AML program is compliant with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with internal departments and external partners to investigate and resolve AML issues and share best practices
  • Provide recommendations to make informative decision on business relationship establishment and continuation
  • Support business relationship managers in communicating with clients during all stages of the customer lifecycle
  • Contribute to the automatization of the client onboarding process by offering ideas for further IT development

We would love you to have

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • Proven KYC experience, focusing on high-risk client onboarding and/or ongoing due diligence
  • Financial institutions and correspondent relationship onboarding and ODD experience is advantage
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, including the FATF Recommendations & Wolfsberg Principles (preferred)
  • Excellent ability to conduct research using public sources and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
  • Fluency in English (fluency in another language is a plus)
  • CAMS certificate is a plus

Salary

Salary for this position ranges from 2160 to 3600 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on your experience, competence, and motivation.
