Internal Auditor
Internal Auditor is responsible for leading the internal audit function, providing independent and objective assurance on the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management, internal controls, and governance processes across all areas. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive audit strategy to identify and address key risks in finance, operations, IT, regulatory compliance, and more. Internal auditor will work closely with executive management and the board, offering insights to strengthen control structures and support sustainable growth.

- Develop and oversee a comprehensive, risk-based internal audit plan that covers all business functions, including finance, operations, IT, compliance, and other strategic areas
- Conduct thorough and independent audits of various departments to assess control effectiveness, compliance, and risk management
- Ensure audit findings are well-documented, consistent with internal standards, and aligned with industry best practices
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the organization’s internal controls, identifying areas for improvement in finance, operational processes, IT, and regulatory compliance
- Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports, summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations for executive management and the audit committee
- Communicate key insights and action plans to the board and senior leadership, providing clarity on risk exposure and proposed improvements
- Drive process improvements within the internal audit function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of audit activities
- Monitor the progress of corrective actions recommended during audits, ensuring follow-up and compliance with improvement plans
We would love you to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 3+ years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal audit standards, control frameworks, and regulatory requirements across multiple business areas (e.g., finance, operations, IT, compliance)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and commitment to upholding high ethical standards
Salary
Salary for this position ranges from 3000 to 5000 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on your experience, competence, and motivation.
