Risk Manager (Part-Time)

Risk management at Bankera is one of the key functions that keep the company one step ahead of competition. To ensure that Bankera stays on safe footing, we are looking for a part-time Risk Manager. This is going to be a new role with the possibility to work from our offices in Vilnius or Kaunas. Risk Manager will be among the first in the company to get involved in new business initiatives – from products and customer support to treasury and finance.

You should find it interesting to

  • Identify, assess, document and regularly review risks of all types and help the business design and implement controls in accordance with the legal requirements
  • Develop risk policies, procedures, key risk indicators, and risk appetite scope descriptions
  • Monitor risk against limits and thresholds, produce respective reports to the management and relevant colleagues
  • Implement the risk incident management process, including the registration of risk events
  • Develop and maintain risk tools and systems
  • Ensure that business grows in a sustainable and controlled manner
  • Raise awareness of relevant rules and regulation within financial industry together with the Head of Compliance and internal auditor
  • Produce quarterly risk maps and annual risk management reports
  • Manage liquidity, currency mismatch and other risks related to safekeeping of customer funds

Requirements

  • Understanding of payments, retail banking, operations, risk and treasury processes
  • Knowledge of key regulations regarding the provision of financial services
  • Experience in managing risk and compliance issues in a regulated environment
  • VBA, R, MATLAB, Python or similar experience
  • Understanding of risk identification and measurement concepts (VaR, LGD and similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or Mathematics is preferable
  • Fluency in English
  • Understanding of all acronyms used in this job advertisement
